Pat your tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel and sprinkle with kosher salt and fresh pepper.
Bake at 375 for 15 mins. being careful not to overcook. They are ready when they flake when touched with a fork.
While baking mix 1/2-3/4 cube of softened unsalted butter, handful of chiffonade basil, 2 T. minced shallots, juice of a lime, 2 T. minced ginger, sprinkle of kosher salt. After mixing place in your freezer to quickly firm it up.
Remove warm tilapia and serve with dollop of butter.
I used whatever I had on hand for this compound butter that would go well together. Experiment as you wish.
Oh deliciousness. My whole family devoured this.
