Spagetti Casserole
One day in my teen year our huge family was invited to dinner. I was very excited. When you are a family of 6 or more those offers only come at Thanksgiving. We went to the Tufts and had spagetti casserole. It was great no reconstituted soy anything, to my great surprise. Turns out the recipe was Myrna Botts.
1 lb ground beef sauted with
1/2 c onion
1/4 c green pepper
When cooked well drain and add:
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can tomatoe soup
1 clove of minced garlic
1 soup can of water
after all is heated and well mixed put in 1/2 c shredded chedder cheese and 1/2 lb of cooked spagetti.
Place in a buttered casserole dish top with another 1/2 c cheese and bake for 30 minutes at 350 until bubbly and hot
Popovers
Jeri Heiner lived behind us in the little house. She made these popovers and I loved them they are hollow inside a good place for jam and butter.
2 eggs beat till frothy.
1 c milk
1c flour
1/2 t salt
1 T salad oil.
Fill greased muffin tins only 1/2 full bake at 400 for almost 40 minutes. These rise as they cook.
